Soon the Grid & Your Plug-in Electric Car will Chit-Chat

Right now, Ford is working with utility and electric power companies around the world to develop a technology that would allow the grid to send messages to plug-in electric cars via the cloud, requesting them to stop charging when electricity use is peaking. That means one day you could qualify for a financial incentive by allowing your utility company to "talk" to your Ford Fusion Hybrid, for example. Motor Rally Spectators Make Miraculous Escape

We love our motorsports here in Texas, but usually we watch from grandstands or behind fences, where one is a safe distance away from flying debris or in some cases spiraling, airborne cars. At the Jolly Rally al Colle San Carlo in Italy however, rally fans hanging out near the outside of a turn found themselves inches away from an out-of-control car that came hurling right at them.
