What's New for the 2026 Ford Escape®?
The Ford Escape® arrives for 2026 with no major changes. One notable update is that the Escape® is no longer offered for sale in California or in any state that follows California-level emissions rules. Otherwise, the 2026 Escape® is largely unchanged from the 2025 model, featuring a roomy cabin, comfortable seating, and a smooth ride.
What Are the 2026 Escape® Trims & Features?
The lineup begins with the Active® model. The Active® includes rear dual USB charging ports and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard equipment. It also features an eight-inch infotainment screen and a six-speaker audio setup.
Moving up, the ST-Line adds body-colored lower cladding, a mesh-style grille, and a rear spoiler. A flat-bottom steering wheel enhances the sporty vibe, and this trim rides on 18-inch wheels.
The ST-Line Select builds on that with LED fog lights, power windows, remote start, a heated steering wheel, and heated front seats.
The ST-Line Elite brings larger 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, interior ambient lighting, a digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, and extra safety tech.
At the top, the Platinum™ trim comes standard with a 13.2-inch touchscreen, rain-sensing wipers, and synthetic leather upholstery.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2026 Escape® Have?
The Active® and ST-Line use a 1.5L three-cylinder engine that produces 180 horsepower. From the ST-Line Select upward, a turbocharged 2.0L engine is available with 250 horsepower.
What Safety Features Does the 2026 Escape® Include?
Standard safety tech on the Escape® includes forward collision mitigation, lane-keep assist, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert.
