What's New for the 2022 Ford F-150

The 2022 Ford F-150 will see a few changes and updates for the new model year. First and foremost, there's a new engine option - a 3.5-liter V6 turbocharged Ecoboost.

This new engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and is available on all F-150 models, including the base XL trim.

2022 Ford F-150 Trims & Features

The Ford F-150 is available in six trim levels for the 2022 model year: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited.

Standard features on the entry-level XL trim include LED headlights, a trailer hitch receiver, and a four-speaker sound system.

The XLT trim builds on these features with fog lights, LED taillights, a power-sliding rear window, and an eight-speaker audio system.

The Lariat trim comes standard with leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a navigation system, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

The King Ranch trim adds on features like a panoramic sunroof, heated rear seats, and a wireless charging pad.

The Platinum trim comes standard with adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system, and front and rear parking sensors.

Finally, the top-of-the-line Limited trim, plus a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system and a head-up display, gets you all of the above.

2022 Ford F-150 Horsepower

The base engine for the Ford F-150 is a 3.3-liter V6 that produces 290 horsepower and 265 lb.-ft of torque.

The next step up is a 2.7-liter turbocharged Ecoboost V6 that makes 325 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft of torque.

There's also a 3.5-liter turbocharged Ecoboost V6 that makes 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft of torque.

The top engine option is a 5.0-liter V8 that produces 400 horsepower and 500 lb.-ft of torque.

2022 Ford F-150 Safety

Standard safety features on the Ford F-150 include a rearview camera, airbags, and stability control.

The Ford F-150 is also available with optional safety features, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and a 360-degree camera system.
