2021 Ford Transit Connect Exterior

What's New For the 2021 Ford Transit Connect?

Perhaps the most significant change to the 2021 Ford Transit Connect comes from its bundling with adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. The new model offers gas/propane conversion capability that you can get with the 2.5-liter engine. A gas/propane conversion engine costs less than gasoline, lasting up to three times longer than gasoline. Ford dropped its Taxi prep package from the latest model.

Which Features Are Available for 2021?

Choose from three trim levels the XL, XLT, and Titanium. You can choose to have it configured as either a passenger or cargo van, depending on needs. The van has two engines, but fleet customers can only buy the 2.5-liter. Titanium trim, the top-tier trim, tosses luxury into the mix with upholstered leather and the Ford Sync stereo system. The Titanium adds fog lamps to the exterior to make it look even more handsome.

The XL, the base trim of the 2021 Ford Transit Connect, has the cargo van style like the XLT. The XLT, however, includes a 4.2-inch touchscreen, a Smart Key Entry System, and cruise control. No matter what trim chosen, all 2021 Ford Transit Connects come with front and side airbags in the first row. You get plenty of standard features with this vehicle, such as anti-lock brakes, side curtain airbags, traction control, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

Featuring Great Performance

You have two options for two four-cylinder engines. It starts with the 2.0-liter engine, which generates up to 162 horsepower. Next, you have the 2.5-liter engine, but as said before, Ford only makes this available to its fleet customers. This engine comes with plenty of power, and this is a highly utilitarian vehicle built for the road. The engine has a respectable acceleration for its purpose. Whichever engine you choose, they both come as a six-speed automatic transmission.

Technologies to Keep You Safe

You get some decent safety features with the 2021 Ford Transit Connect. For example, Ford includes pedestrian detection, which will trigger a forward collision warning. You can automatically brake if needed. The other features are side wind stabilization and automatic emergency braking for whenever they detect an obstacle.
