What's New For the 2021 Ford F-150?

For 2021, the all-new F-150 takes a bold approach to get things done. With 21 purpose-built new solutions loaded into the 2021 F-150, productivity, power, and comfort can all be achieved with this light-duty pickup. Notable features for the latest model year will include improved technology with the SYNC 4 as standard, Pro Power Onboard for more exportable power, and a thrilling addition to the powertrain options with Ford's all-new PowerBoost hybrid powertrain.

2021 Ford F-150 Trims & Features

Six different trim levels are available for the 2021 Ford F-150. This includes the XL as the base model. The XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum and Limited are following trim options. There are different features throughout all of the various trims, so you'll have to weigh your options regarding what you like. Most people find the XL trim level to suffice with standard 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, selectable drive modes, and SYNC 4. Upgrading trim levels will offer more available features and amenities, including a 12-inch center screen starting from the XLT to an 18-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system in the Limited.

Ford has provided a few engine options as part of the 2021 Ford F-150 lineup. The choices include 3.3-liter V6, 5.0-liter V8, a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6, and a 3.0-liter diesel V6 engine. All of which come with a standard 10-speed automatic transmission. The all-new 3.5L PowerBoost full hybrid engine is a class-exclusive, targeted to have the most horsepower and torque of any light-duty full-size pickup. It's estimated to have a maximum towing capacity of at least 12,000 pounds and range up to 700 miles on a single tank of gas.

Ford F-150 Safety

Ford has decided to include a few more safety features as standard inclusions across all F-150 trim levels this year. A rear-facing camera will work with your trailer for safer monitoring. Active Drive Assist is to be included in all trim levels of the F-150 in 2021. This includes automated emergency braking, lane departure warning system, pedestrian alert, and lane-keep assist. You can upgrade your F-150 to include adaptive cruise control if you wish.
