Ford CEO Jim Farley Says EV Production Will Double This Year

As a trailblazer in automotive history, Ford ranks among the world's most famous brands. Its reliable vehicles have reshaped markets in the U.S. and internationally. Automakers are shifting focus to ramp up electric vehicle (EV) production.

Ford to Double EV Production

Jim Farley, Ford's CEO, announced an ambitious plan to double EV manufacturing this year at U.S. plants and facilities worldwide. Ford already produces the Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning domestically, and it exports these key models around the world. Annual EV production currently stands at 100,000; the goal is 250,000 by the end of 2025.

Ford's Electric Vehicles

The Mustang Mach-E remains one of Ford's top EVs—an SUV that's as engaging to drive as it is eye-catching. Available in several powertrain options, it achieves about 320 miles per charge and is priced competitively in its segment.

Another highlight is the F-150 Lightning. This electric version of the iconic F-150 boasts 240 miles of range, brisk acceleration for a truck, and robust towing capacity.
