Michael Aragon Embarks on His Ford Adventure
Ford has attracted top talent throughout its history. Aragon takes over from Peter Stern, who transitions to lead Peloton Interactive as President. Fans and industry watchers alike are keen to see what Aragon will introduce at Ford.
In his inaugural comments, Aragon underscored his aim to enrich in-cabin experiences. “We can spark new in-cabin experiences and services that feel seamless and contextual for our customers,” he said. He plans to enhance Ford BlueCruise, the Ford Pro suite, and Ford Model e services in his new capacity.
Growing Ford's paid-subscription numbers is one of Aragon's primary objectives. The automaker already boasts more than 800,000 active subscribers; he believes that figure can climb even higher. CEO Mike Farley has endorsed Aragon's appointment, confident he's the right person for the job.
Farley highlighted the Ford+ initiative as central to Ford's vision. “The heart of the Ford+ plan is to match our iconic and trusted vehicles with incredible services and experiences that will improve the lives of our customers and help businesses succeed.” He added, “Mike is the right leader to build on our early success with Integrated Services and help Ford capture this immense growth opportunity.”
Bringing a wealth of leadership experience from Fortune 500 environments, Aragon officially assumed his role on March 17. A University of New Mexico graduate with an MBA from Dartmouth, he's helped elevate brands such as Twitch. Ford expects his leadership to usher in significant advancements in the months ahead.
