2020 Ford Ranger

What's New For the 2020 Ford Ranger?

In 2019, the Ford Ranger made a triumphant return as part of the fourth Ranger generation. This return was long-awaited after years of disappearing from the market. Since it was fully redesigned and refreshed for the 2019 model year, the Ranger does not get monumental amendments in 2020. Nevertheless, consumers considering a midsize truck for their next vehicle have several exciting features to look forward to. This year, you have an expanded palette of paint colors to choose from that include a bold red, a metallic red shade, and a silver hue.

The latest Ranger is available with an abundance of standard creature comforts and safety amenities. However, many more are available through packages. The Ranger comes in two body styles this year, which are a regular-length cab and an extended-length version. All trims of the 2020 Ford Ranger can tow up to 7,500 pounds. The latest Ranger has a maximum payload of 1,860 pounds. Several optional off-road packages, including an FX2 and FX4, give the Ford Ranger more off-road and performance capabilities than ever before.

What Features Are Available for 2020?

The 2020 Ford Ranger is produced in three trim levels. The base trim is called the XL. It comes with a decent amount of standard features, but many more are available through optional packages. Standard on the XL is an innovative and user-friendly infotainment system with an eight-inch display screen. Ford's SYNC 3 infotainment system is available, as are real-time navigation, audio information, and a dual LCD productivity screen. The base Ranger also gets an audio system with four speakers. It has some standard driver-assist safety aids as well.

Two packages are available to enhance this trim. One is the 101A package with a six-speaker audio system, a larger infotainment console, cruise control, and power-adjustable side mirrors. You can also add more safety technology through the optional Co-Pilot360 safety package. The second trim, called the XLT, gets the 101A technology package as a standard feature. It also gets more standard safety tools. This trim upgrades to alloy wheels for a more dramatic appearance. It gets additional charging capabilities in the form of a 110V power outlet.

Keyless entry and dual-zone climate control are additional bonuses. The XLT also has some optional packages, including a 302A package with power-adjustable front seats and heated seats. It also gets an advanced technology package. The Lariat gets leather seats and ultra-visible LED lights. It adds the XLT's technology package plus automatic wipers and a remote engine start.
