2020 may be the last year that the Ford Fusion is produced, as Ford wants to focus on producing trucks and SUVs, not fuel-efficient mid-size sedans like the Fusion. If you want to get in on the last edition of the Fusion, there's no time like the present. Your luxury features have been added for 2020, with formerly optional features making an appearance as standard on some models. Newer than anything are all-new hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions of the perennially popular Fusion.
A strong Fusion model year usually begins with upscale interior features that fall under a lower price tag, and the 2020 shines on this count. Brand new leather options make for a prettier, cozier cabin, and your driver's chair is more versatile than ever, with plush materials all around, and steering wheel-mounted controls for convenience. What else did Ford cook up for the Fusion grand finale?
Your new 2020 Fusion features four gorgeous trims: S, SE, SEL, and Titanium. Higher-end shoppers with more money to spend may want to skip over lower trims and go straight to the Titanium, but value shoppers will want to check out the SE. It's not quite fully loaded, but it gets you close enough to round out everything you need with a budget in mind thanks to appearance packages and engine upgrades. Your all-wheel-drive SE features the famous 2.0-liter I-4 premium gas engine that kicks the fun up to 245 horsepower. Hybrid model variations are available for the SE, SEL, and Titanium, and there's a plug-in hybrid model for the Titanium as well. The Fusion seats 5 and comes with a host of either standard advanced or optional features:
Your base model SE features a 2.5-liter I-4 regular gas engine good for an efficient 175 horsepower. Your front-wheel-drive SE comes with a 185 horsepower 1.5-liter I-4 regular gas engine. Kick it up to an all-wheel-drive SE, and you've got your 245 horsepower 2.0-liter I-4 premium gas engine that you'll find on both of your gas engine Titanium models. Hybrid models are fit with a 2.0L i-VCT Atkinson-cycle Hybrid Engine and Electric Motor.
Standard on the Fusion is the suite of Ford Co-Pilot360 technologies, featuring driver-assist miracles like BLIS (Blind Spot Information System), Lane-Keeping System, and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking. If this is your standard safety system, imagine your full suite of practical safety features, plus advanced features like SOS Post-Crash Alert, camera and sensor systems, and LATCH (Lower Anchor and Tethers Anchors for Children) System. Ford leaves nothing out on the 2020 Fusion.
