Ford Fusion Review for 2016 Model Year
The Ford Fusion, one of the midsize segment's most stylish sedans, is back again for the 2016 model year. Beautifully designed from the inside out, the model arrives on the market boasting an upgraded center stack and two new available package options: the S Appearance Package and SE Cold Weather Package. Aside from these modifications, the 2016 Ford Fusion continues to feature every component offered on last year's model. For information about the sedan's new additions and other offerings, read our 2016 Ford Fusion review below.
New to the Ford Fusion for the 2016 model year are two package options. The S Appearance Package spices up the sedan's exterior look by adding fog lamps, a rear spoiler and 18-inch painted Ebony Black wheels. The SE Cold Weather Package is geared toward drivers who want their car equipped for winter weather and features a Power Code Remote Start System, all-weather floor mats and heated cloth seats. Outside of these two additions to the 2016 Ford Fusion in Grand Prairie, the sedan also sports a redesigned center stack that improves functionality when using the car's SYNC infotainment system. With this enhancement and the car's available new features, the Ford Fusion continues to be a top option in the midsize segment.
Coming into 2016, all S and SE Fusion models come equipped with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine. The displacement generates 175 horsepower and 175 lb.-ft. of torque; it's paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and is able to deliver top-notch performance. In addition to the 2.5L four-cylinder, the SE can also be outfitted with a turbocharged 1.5L four-cylinder, delivering 181 horsepower and 185 lb.-ft. of torque, or a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder that exerts 240 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2.0L four-cylinder also comes standard on the Titanium, which is the quickest model out of the pack.
