Available in three trims, S, SE and Titanium, those shopping for the 2016 Escape can choose the version of the crossover that is right for them. Looking first at the Escape S, this model of the crossover gets 17-inch steel wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, an integrated blind spot mirror, Ford MyKey parental controls, keyless entry, a six-speaker sound system and Ford Sync with AppLink. The next-level SE trim adds 17-inch alloy wheels, foglights, satellite radio, a keyless entry keypad, a rear center armrest and upgraded cloth upholstery.
Many 2016 Ford Escape reviews were very impressed with the crossover's Titanium trim. This top-of-the-line version of the Escape comes with the most sport and luxury features, including a power liftgate, Ford's new Sync 3 infotainment system, a 10-speaker sound system, ambient interior lighting, rear parking sensors, roof rails and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Under the hood, the Escape comes with three powertrains, depending on the model. The base S trim is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, while the SE and Titanium trims work off of a turbocharged 1.6-liter four. An optional turbocharged 2.0-liter four is a favorite among 2016 Ford Escape reviews thanks to its terrific power and fuel economy. A standard six-speed automatic transmission works with all three engines, providing even more fuel efficiency to the crossover.
