Flex Update from Grand Prairie Ford Research
For crossover shoppers there are a lot of choices out there, but one of the consistent favorites among those shopping for new cars in Dallas has been the Ford Flex. The Flex offers a host of terrific features and attributes, including nice fuel numbers, excellent luxury amenities and agile performance. The SUV's impressive set of amenities can be found within its three main trim levels: SE, SEL and Limited. New features added to the Flex this year include three new exterior colors (Too Good to Be Blue, Kona Blue and Shadow Black). The 2016 Ford Flex near Dallas is also getting a new Flex Appearance Package that gives the crossover a sportier look; it includes a blacked out door, grille, roof and 20-inch wheel rims.
Technology-wise, the crossover now features the automaker's new Sync 3 system, which will come standard on SEL and Limited models of the Flex. The Sync 3 system is the latest infotainment system from Ford that is replacing the outgoing MyFord Touch interface that appeared on earlier models of the car. The new infotainment system includes a host of terrific amenities, including a smartphone-like touchscreen, conversational voice recognition, faster performance and an easier-to-use graphic interface.
Under the hood, the 2016 Ford Flex in Grand Prairie is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that rates in at 287 horsepower and 254 lb.-ft. of torque. An optional turbocharged EcoBoost engine is also available for those who would like a bit more power and economy out of the crossover. Safety systems on the 2016 Flex include everything from adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support to a new Blind Spot Information system and intelligent all-wheel drive.
