2025 Ford Transit XL vs 2025 Ford Transit XLT
There are endless ways to use a Ford Transit Van, and thousands of people invent new ways every year. Businesses love them, large families love them, and the industry loves them. We sell the XL and XLT 2025 Ford Transit vans here and are always available to help people pick the proper trim.
Performance
The XL and XLT are available in two versions of Ford's 3.5L EcoBoost V6, which delivers either 275 or 310 horsepower. The XL wears 16-inch silver steel wheels with black hubcaps; the XLT gets 16-inch steel wheels with full silver wheel covers.
Appearance
The Transit makes a bold statement, but the XL and XLT have slight styling differences. The XLT's grille uses a honeycomb mesh with chrome surrounding, while the XL has a carbon black surround, which noticeably changes the van's face. Running boards are optional on both models. Chrome high-intensity HID headlamps come standard only on the XLT. Come by our dealership to compare the XL and XLT in person.
Features
The XL's cabin includes vinyl front and rear floor covering, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and an AM/FM stereo with a 4" display and Bluetooth as standard. Dual USB ports add convenience. The XLT adds SYNC 4 with a 12" display and connected navigation, carpeted floors front and rear, and a Lane Keeping System with Blind Spot Information. The XL has a medium center console; the XLT upgrades to a large one. For those seeking the most available driver-assist tech, the XLT is strong - it includes Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Coverage as standard equipment, while the XL does not. The XL still supports optional add-ons.
