Powertrain Warranty

The Powertrain Warranty covers components that power the car. The warranty will cover the vehicle's transmission, engine, wheels, and axles. The Powertrain Warranty provides your vehicle with coverage for up to five years or 60,000 miles. It includes coverage based on your vehicle's drivetrain, which can include front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, and four-wheel drive.

New Vehicle Limited Warranty

Under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, we will repair or replace parts on your new vehicle, at no charge, that malfunction or fail during normal use due to a manufacturing defect or faulty workmanship. It provides various coverages including Bumper to Bumper protection that lasts for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The warranty remains in effect even with a change in vehicle ownership.

Corrosion Warranty

Corrosion Warranty covers payment for replacement parts damaged by corrosion, provided the damage occurs to a factory-installed component during everyday use. The Corrosion Warranty applies to sheet metal panels and aluminum body panels. This warranty covers the first five years regardless of miles driven during that time. Damage caused by environmental airborne materials are covered for the first 12,000 miles or one year.

Diesel Engine Coverage

Ford provides coverage specifically for cars with diesel engines in its factory warranties. Diesel-powered Ford vehicles have components in their diesel-mechanical system covered for up to 5 years or 100,000 miles. The warranty is a comprehensive coverage plan for the crankshaft, oil pan, water pump, injectors and pressure sensors, exhaust pressure sensor, fuel system, and more.

Safety Restraint Coverage

Ford's Safety Restraint Warranty covers replacement parts and costs for passive safety features in a new Ford, including the seat belts and the Safety Restraint System. The warranty will cover components in the Ford for up to 60,000 miles or five years.

Emissions Defect Warranty

Ford's Emissions Defect Warranty provides coverage for parts and associated costs for light-duty vehicles and passenger cars. The Emissions Warranty covers parts with an emissions-related defect, including the intake manifold, airflow sensor, and fuel injection system.

Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Warranty

Ford's hybrid and electric cars also have additional coverage. The warranty terms will vary depending on whether your vehicle is a hybrid or electric.
