What's New for the  Ford F-150 Lightning?

The Ford F-150 Lightning will come in three trim levels: the Platinum, Lariat, and the XLT. Ford has not yet provided specific details on the exact features and amenities of each trim level. However, the automaker has revealed some insight into the general list of amenities you will get with the F-150 Lightning. The Ford F-150 Lightning will have a comfortable, spacious, tech-savvy cabin, and its interior will include a standard 15-inch touchscreen interface. Keyless entry with a smartphone-controlled key fob is another notable highlight of the F-150 Lightning.

F-150 Lightning Trims & Features

The Lariat and Platinum trim levels will have the latest in Ford's connectivity called SYNC 4A, a modern infotainment system with Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, and Apple CarPlay. Also, onboard the F-150 Lightning is a 12-inch instrument display for the driver that includes a customizable display screen with graphics. The cabin has plenty of room for occupants, and extra storage is available in a standard frunk (front trunk).

Ford F-150 Lightning Horsepower

The Ford F-150 Lightning is expected to have a power output and tow ratings that are just as impressive as ratings in conventional F-150 models. The F-150 Lightning will reach 563 HP in maximum power and 775 LB-FT of torque with its electric powertrain. This torque output is best-in-class for the Ford, and it's also the most torque offered on any F-150 model to date. The truck can accelerate rapidly from 0-60 MPH in just four seconds, and it will have a maximum towing capability of 10,000 pounds. The Ford F-150 Lightning will also have a top payload of 2,000 pounds. It can be charged on the road or at home.

The Ford F-150 is slated to come standard with Ford's Co-Pilot360 safety technology, which includes advanced safety aids including forward-collision avoidance, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking.
